Hossein Ansari is an experienced Civil Engineer with over two decades of work in both private and public sectors. He has previously held roles as a Senior Design Officer at Sutherland Shire Council and as a Drainage Investigation Engineer at City of Botany Bay Council.

In 2018, Hossein became a co-presenter for the DRAINS workshops alongside Benjamin Kus and Geoffrey O’Loughlin. In 2022, he was appointed as the Technical Services Manager & Principal Engineer at Watercom.

As a consultant, Hossein has been offering his expertise as a Civil Hydraulic Engineer to various consulting firms since 2007 in Australia. His work has encompassed roads, drainage, overland flow path studies, and Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) projects, from initial planning to final design and construction.

His major interests include hydrological and hydraulic modelling and design utilising various computer software programs including DRAINS, HEC-RAS, ILSAX, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Civil Site Design, MapInfo, QGIS, ArcMap and other GIS software.

What if I need a Tax Invoice before I can book?

Once submitted, Watercom will issue a Tax Invoice that can be paid via direct bank transfer. The user will need to create an account on the Watercom Training site, and on receipt of payment, the purchased Workshop will be added to the user's account for immediate access.

Can a Workshop be purchased on behalf of another person?
Yes. First, a user account needs to be created during checkout (Email Address & Password), which should reflect the person intending on attending the Workshop. If an administrator completed checkout on behalf of the user, and accidentally purchased the Workshop under their own administrator user account, then it can be transferred at no cost to the intended user. The user needs to first create their account and then notify Watercom of the required transfer.
What is the prework required for the Workshop?
A mandatory AR&R Module (2.5 hours) is required before attending the Workshop. There are two additional Introductory modules which are optional to complete.
How do I access the prework for the Workshop?
Easy! Once you've booked in, you will have immediate online access to the mandatory and optional prework modules.
How long do I have access to the prework for the Workshop?
You get immediate access to the prework (1x mandatory AR&R Module and 2x optional introductory modules). Your access expires 30 days after the Workshop.
Do I receive a Certificate?
Yes! After you've attended the full Workshop, all participants will receive a digital Certificate of Completion listing the relevant hours of CPD.
